1/2" RF-4 Reflective Fireback 16" Wide

It's a big piece of iron and it did not burn. That's exactly what we were hoping for. The house didn't burn, either, which was pretty cool, too.

Absolutely love the fireback!True quality is what I appreciate the best,and I am extremely satisfied!It's not cheap,but I feel that I got what I paid for!The weight alone tells the story.The radiated heat from it to the room is just what I was looking for.My old fireball was inexpensive thin steel and rotted and warped from the heat.I feel this one is FAR SUPERIOR!I was just praising it along with my new grate to a neighbor and MY CHIMNEY SWEEP JUST TONITE!If course,my CHIMNEY sweep knew of your product and quality!

My fireback arrived quickly and was easy to handle. I placed it against the back wall of my fire insert. My fire insert is equipped with a recycling air blower which circulate the room air from the bottom of the insert thru its back cavity located behind the back wall of the fire pit and back out thru the top vent. The radiant capacity of the fireback was very effective and produced a good amount of heat in the front of the fire pit, but it completely isolated the back cavity from the heat by keeping the back wall from heating up and therefore the air blown remained cold. So yes the fireback is very effective but in my case just too much effective. I had to remove it.

I have a properly built firepace and would not necessarily need the Reflective Back. I purchased this item because I believed it would enhance the heat output of the Rumfort Fireplace. I believe it has done just that. More heat; less fire! The Grate and the Reflective Fireback work welll together!

We purchased the S-4 Fireplace Grate and the RF-4 Reflective Fireback. WOW what solid US Made construction. My last grate had nearly burned through, never happen with this US made Grate. On the Company's recommendation we skipped the economy fireback and went for the full version. GREAT CHOICE. Worth the extra $. Easy to get the fire going and keep it going. HUGE difference in heat going into the room and not up the chimney. You will NOT regret purchasing from these guys. They even support us veterans!!

We built this house in 1996 with a Rumford fireplace. I don't if the fireplace was built incorrectly but it's never sent much heat into the room. Since installing the Fireback we actually have heat from the fireplace heating the family room! Thank you for a quality product!

I chose this fireback because of reviews like this and wanted an American made product. I was/am not disappointed, the build quality and welds are excellent. We now can build a smaller fire and the radiant heat the fireback gives off provides more room warmth than before. Excellent company and products.

Seems to push more heat into the room

After getting the ceramic in my fireplace repaired I went with a setup from here. Ive used it a few times now and we have thourghly enjoyed it. It's nice to see the fire built this way and the logs seem to burn longer. The heat that is put out is tremendous

Excellent quality and works very well

I bought both the fireback and the pineapple grate. They have made my fireplace both more efficient and much more beautiful. Now my fireplace looks less like a builder-grade afterthought and more like an intentional well-designed feature of my home. They arrived sooner than I expected and far exceed my expectations. Highly recommend!

Does exactly what it says it will do, absorb and radiate heat. Quality appears to be excellent and no visible damage/warping after some incredibly hot (now, with the new fireback) fires. I have only tested the fireback with the vertical grate but it actually feels like I can use my fireplace for warmth again. Would definitely recommend to anyone that wants a little more out of their fireplace.

The fireback does work as advertised , definitely throws more heat out of the fireplace, however the only problem I have is the 2 feet welded to the bottom I believe are too short, the fireback will not stand on it's own no matter which way you install it, only remedy for me was to have slightly angled back and lean against the fire brick and rest the grate right up to the fire back which is probably okay however probably losing a little heat not generating outward due to the lean of the fireback.

This fireback is absolutely as advertised. It is solid and will provide great protection in our fireplace. It was a great purchase and worth every $ for our piece of mind.

i purchased this along with the grate for my fireplace and it is amazing. it works better then i thought and it reflects the heat back into the house like you wouldnt believe. just a word of advice, bigger is better. the one i bought is to small get the biggest one that will fit in your fireplace and you will save on heating bills.
