3/4" HDRF-RM Heavy Duty Rumford Fireback 12" Wide

When we built our house back in the early 90's we had Rumford fireplace installed. Not wild about the look of firebrick, we had our mason use the same bricks where the firebricks were supposed to go. Over the years the bricks had started to chip away a bit and my wife found the Rumford 12" wide reflective fireback that would not only look nice, but also help protect the back of the fireplace itself. We liked the insert so much we purchased 2 heavy duty 16" wide fireback to flank the 12" fireback. We just reversed the 2 16" wide firebacks so the legs faced inward and they all fit together nicely. Looks nice and reflects more heat and light back into the room. I was hoping to upload an image to show them in use, but appears there isn't a place to do that.

We have a Rumford Fireplace and the TR-7 grate with the 12"fireback. The grate with the fireback work together. Because of the size and heat of the fire that can be generated with the grate we recommend getting the fireback to protect the back wall of the fireplace. It also maintains heat that can be reflected back into the room.

Fits and works perfectly. This is one heavy piece of steel, it does a great job distributing the heat at the back of the fire
