1" SDHM-7 Super Duty Heat Master Fireback 31" Wide

I am extremely impressed with the benefits offered by this. I only wish it were taller, given the size of our fireplace. I was also shocked with how quickly the delivery arrived! Long story short we would burn through twice what we are burning through in a single evening and have almost no heat from the fire. This way we have a massive fire, using half the wood, and getting a great source of heat. And the plate is still over 150 degrees two days later!!!!

Absolutely love how heavy duty and well built this fireback is. We had a HUGE fireplace put up in our backyard and we needed a HUGE fireback to fit in it. This one is perfect and the largest one that we could find. Highly Recommend!

I bought the heavy duty version to replace a 3/8" fireback I purchased 10 years ago. The old unit was severely warped from the heat of fires I burn. The heavy grate I bought at the same time is still in excellent condition. I expect this 1" fireback to last forever. Please do understand it is not easy to lift this into the back of the fireplace...it is truly heavy duty.

This just works. The vertical grate impressed me, and I recommend it highly, but this fireback blew me away. I do wish it were a little taller as I have glass doors and that means not all of the plate can radiate into the room, but nevertheless this has cut down wood consumption a lot and also saved us money on heating! Really great product.

Great fireback. Very heavy, but that is good. this was for an outdoor fireplace, and I am noticing rust beginning to develop. I suppose I have to expect that, but I am not seeing it develop on the grate, so it make me wonder.
