This extra tall heavy duty reflective fireback is basically an HDRF-5 fireback on steroids. The extra height and larger feet of this unit make for superior stability, greatly increased heating output and fireplace protecting properties.

T-HDRF-5 (tall heavy duty reflective fireback) dimensions:
21" wide, 20" tall, 3/4" thick steel construction. Integrated feet extend forward 2¼" from the base of the fireback for positive stability. Weighs 92 lbs. in the box, so be sure to have a helper available to assist you when it arrives.

Fireplace size requirements for the T-HDRF-5 fireback:
The rear wall of the fireplace must be a minimum of 21" wide and at least 21" high to accommodate the fireback. Works with any Wall of Fire Grate.

Super sturdy fireback

I purchased this fireback in order to protect my masonry from the high heat generated by my new grate. It is superior. Super thick, heavy plate.

Added to a heatilator zero clearance fireplace after I repaired the base refractory. With the fireback it feels like the fireplace throws a lot more heat into the room. Very thick and sturdy steel. Added the standard grate to go with it as instructed. Also a great product. All made in the USA which is the best part. Where I used to struggle to find coals in the morning, now there is a significant coal bed and heat 8-10 hours after the last logs are placed on the fire. A nice investment to prolong the life and functionality of my fireplace as opposed to a $10K+ wood stove retrofit.
