Vertical Grate

Called about building a customized grate and reflective backing to fit our Rumsford fireplace. The custom build was spot on and looks amazing. For a few dollars more Grate Wall was able to raise the height of the grate so that it could fit over an existing ash plate. Phenomenal job - thank you GWoF!

The staff was very helpful, assisting with the size and design of the fireback. The final product works GREAT. Our Rumford FP burns very hot. The .75" thick fireback does an excellent job of protecting the fireplace back wall and provides radiant heat for a long time after the fire goes out.

Amazing purchase

We have a gigantic firebox, so getting a wood stove insert wasn’t an option for us. A friend suggested a fireback. All the ones I found online were much too small. Litchfield is a short drive from our home, so I have Grate Wall of Fire a call. They offered to custom make one to our size and had it ready in less than a week! We have had many, many fires since then and I can honestly say there is a major temperature difference now! It throws off much more heat than it did before and we are thrilled we called Grate Wall!

The staff at GratewallofFire were very accommodating and made my fireback according to my specific dimensions. Works as expected and does reflect heat back into the room, however, don't expect a 10º difference in the room unless you have a VERY LARGE fire in your fireplace. Still a nice addition to the fireplace.
