I ordered the Gothic Soft Top fireplace grate with a bit of skepticism. I was experiencing smoke in our large fireplace we had built in a new home. I am a civil engineer and was impressed with the construction of the grate and even more impressed with the results. The grate eliminated all fugitive smoke. I couldn't be more pleased and have already recommended one for a neighbor having the same problem. I hoped it would work as the alternative was a $2,000 chimney top exterior draft fan and I did not want to go to that expense if avoidable. The Grate worked perfectly.
