This small fireplace grate is a perfect fit for those miniature fireplaces common in many 18th century colonial homes.

Dimensions:
12" Tall, 11" Wide, 11" Deep. Approximate shipping weight in box: 3/4" construction weighs 17 lbs. 1" construction weighs 30 lbs.

Fireplace size requirements for the S-3 grate:
The rear wall of the fireplace must be a minimum of 11" wide (dimension A), the fireplace floor must be a minimum of 13" deep (dimension B), the height of the fireplace front opening should be a minimum of 20" (dimension C) to allow adequate clearance to easily load firewood onto the grate. If your opening is less than 20" in height, you may need the shortened version of this grate. Select the "customize grate height" option above if this is the case. Fireplace construction requirements for the S-3 grate:
It is important to understand that the Wall of Fire grate is a one sided unit. This means that the burning firewood is positioned between the grate and the rear wall of the fireplace. Having the firewood in direct contact with the back wall of the fireplace will significantly increase the temperature of the firebrick and may cause brick and mortar fatigue over time. Because of this we highly recommend you also purchase a fireback to shield the back wall of the fireplace from excessive heat. If you are planning to use a Wall of Fire grate in any non mason built fireplace such as a pre-fab, zero clearance, or metal fireplace, the addition of a fireback is absolutely mandatory.

S3 fireplace

I have been searching high and low for a little grate that would fit the tiny fireplace in my kitchen. I stumbled across the wall of fire and thought I would try it. It's very well made and best of all, it fit and made the best fire I've ever had in that fireplace. I would recommend.

I use this in conjunction with one of the 1” firebacks. I only had a chance to use it once before the weather warmed up! This grate is so easy to use, and clean up around it is simple, and quickly accomplished. I like how you can just plop the logs in and not have to fiddle with it, just sit back and enjoy.
