biggest is not always best

love my new grate. when I measured , I thought I would go for the one that "filled" the measurement. It works great but wishing I had gone with the smaller S3 for ease of handling and ability to better "fit" my Heatilater fireplace and to give easier cleaning ability. I noticed the difference in efficiency immediately. So far in the first 12 hours of use, burned 14 pieces of firewood. The temperature outside was -7 and the temperature in the living-dining-den-foyer(24'x24'x 17h) open space stayed at around 66deg and central heat rarely came on. There is definitely more heat as compared to a standard flat grate with no smoke problem at all. Just really wish I has gone for the S-3 2 inches shorter so I could fit it over the gas starter.

Ordered the above grate and 1/2" fireback , Super heavy, should last forever, I ordered both in the morning, the package arrived by UPS the NEXT DAY! Better then Amazon..... Too hot to try it out, but can't see why it shouldn't work perfectly, and it looks good with the add on decorations

What a difference!

We have a very shallow, very short firebox on our fireplace. It's so small that we can't even retrofit it with a gas insert because they are all too big. A standard grate in this fireplace was horrible - fire wouldn't start, wouldn't stay lit, and my whole house smelled like a BBQ pit every time we tried a fire. I was ready to tear out the whole fireplace until I read about the Great Wall of Fire. We took a chance, and I'm so glad we did! The new grate and fireback are amazing - fires start easily, do not go out, and best of all no smoke in the house! Would definitely recommend this product.

Fantastic grate. A friend recommended them and we are so glad she did. For years, we had problem with smoke coming into our house from the fireplace. Ugh! We thought it was the flew. When one of the glass door broke on the FP, we felt we couldn't use the fireplace -- go through winter without a fire???? We received the grate, and it works perfectly. We're having a fire every night. We're getting the FP doors replaced, but we can still enjoy an amazing fire. How simple and how perfect. Thank you guys/gals for getting this to us so quickly and making an incredible product. All the best to you. Now, back to my fire, coffee and a good book.

The S-4 Pineapple Fireplace Grate, in combination with the reflective fireback, exceeded my expectations. My fireplace is small and has always been both inefficient and ugly. But with the grate and fireback, it looks like a million bucks and emits more heat and less smoke. I ordered it to be made 2" shorter. I also called and talked to a very nice gentleman who helped me make sure I was ordering the right size. The items arrived in just a few days, installation of the pineapples was a snap, and the fireplace is now a joy to use. I highly recommend these products and this company!
