S-5 See-Thru Fireplace Grate 21" Wide

The item is well built and looks good setting in our pass through fireplace. My only concern is that our gas pipe runs inside the grate and not below it. Not comfortable setting wood on the pipe. Suggestions?

I was not sure where to comment on my new purchase so here it is. Absolutely awesome product. I have a see thru fireplace that I had problems with. The fires were hard to get started and sometimes I could not get them hot enough to draw correctly. My first fire with your product has been better than perfect.

I received my see through fire place grate today and set it up in my fireplace. It was our first spring-like day here in the Catskills, but I had to light a fire! The grate burned beautifully and I am very happy. There’s a lot of ash and the grate sits on the fireplace floor, so I think I’ll tip the whole thing towards one of the openings to clean it out.
