S-7 See-Thru Fireplace Grate 31" Wide

I purchased this in hopes that it would resolve the smoking issue with my see-thru fireplace and unfortunately it did not. I don't believe the problem stemmed from the grate at all but it was an option to remedy it. What was upsetting about this, is because it did not work and I had to send it back it cost almost half of what I paid for the grate to get it back to the company!!! So I essentially didn't really get a good portion of my money back. I understand that shipping costs the company as well but at the same time they may potentially get a discounted rate because they are a business. I could be wrong. Most consumers don't have this benefit. This is definitely something to think about before you purchase as shipping can be very expensive if by chance the grate or whatever you order from this company doesn't work out.

Last fall I purchased grates for our double-sided fireplace and I just wanted to say we couldn't be happier. The heat produced is greater than with our old grate and the grate holds our wood in place much better. Just as you had advertised, there is much less smoke entering the room. In the past we found it difficult leaving the fireplace doors open because of the smoke, but since the purchase of this grate, we will often do this. We have not had a log roll off once. Because the fireplace is double sided, I don't know that we burn less wood but the fire is definitely hotter and produces a great deal more heat. We are very pleased with the outcomes - thanks so much!
